Whilst guest rooms, main pool area, lobby, Heavenly Spa, meeting rooms, lounges and restaurants are designated non-smoking areas, the smoking zones at the resort include each patio and balcony outside guest rooms, the Garden View patio near the Steakhouse Restaurant and the pre-function paved area off Westin Ballroom.

Sheraton Fiji Resort to receive multi-million dollar makeover

The Sheraton Fiji Resort on Denarau Island in Nadi has announced a multi-million dollar upgrade during 2008. The refurbishment will commence in mid-2008 and will encompass all areas of the resort. To complete this project, the resort will close from 1 May 2008 and re-open on 1 November 2008.

Sheraton Fiji Resort is set on 25 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens and the management have assured travellers that because of this, the upgrade will have no impact during its closure on the enjoyment of guests staying at the Sheraton Denarau Villas, Westin or other resorts on Denarau Island.

Denarau Island is a tranquil integrated resort community and has seen the construction of many new resorts in recent years, such as the Sofitel Denarau Resort, the Fiji Resort & Spa by Hilton and the newly completed Radisson Fiji Denarau Island Resort. Construction on Denarau has alway had little impact on the amenities of the island due to the spacious surroundings.
