When planning your diving trip, make sure that your travel insurance specifically covers these types of sports. If the carrier deems diving as an extreme sport, you will need to have special Adventure Travel coverage in order to be insured should you be injured while diving. This is more expensive, as the risk of injury/accident is higher, but you may not be covered otherwise.
